Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "your") and channl.tv ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of the channl.tv service. By accessing or using the channl.tv website, desktop application, or mobile application (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

channl.tv is a BYOS (Bring Your Own Subscription) streaming application. It provides a premium client interface for watching IPTV, video-on-demand, and catch-up television content. channl.tv does not provide, host, distribute or license any streaming content. You must supply your own content credentials from third-party IPTV providers.

We are not responsible for the availability, legality, quality or content of any third-party streams you access through the Service. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have valid and lawful subscriptions to the content sources you connect.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Promptly update your account information if it changes
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account

You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account and use the Service.

4. Subscription Tiers

channl.tv offers three subscription tiers:

Free

• 1 IPTV source connection
• 1 device
• Local-only data (no cloud sync)
• Basic live TV, movies and series browsing

Standard

• Up to 3 IPTV source connections
• Up to 2 devices
• Cloud sync (favourites, groups, history, settings, resume positions)
• Catch-up TV, full EPG, EPG reminders

Premium

• Unlimited IPTV source connections
• Up to 5 devices
• All Standard features plus priority support

We reserve the right to modify tier features and pricing with reasonable notice. Active subscribers will be informed of material changes via email at least 30 days in advance.

5. Payments and Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly basis through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid tier, you authorise us to charge the applicable fee to your payment method on file each billing cycle.

• Prices are displayed in GBP and include applicable taxes where required
• Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled before the next billing date
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or Stripe billing portal
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then

6. Refund Policy

Due to the digital nature of the Service, refunds are generally not provided once a billing cycle has begun. However, we may issue refunds at our discretion in the following cases:

• Accidental duplicate charges
• Service was materially unavailable for an extended period
• First-time subscription within 48 hours of purchase, if no significant usage occurred

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Share your account credentials with others
• Attempt to circumvent tier limits, rate limits or security measures
• Reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the Service
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl or abuse the Service or API
• Transmit malware, spam or other harmful content
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

8. BYOS Model Disclaimer

channl.tv operates on a Bring Your Own Subscription model. We are a client application only. We do not:

• Provide, host or redistribute any streaming content
• Operate any IPTV servers or content delivery networks
• Guarantee the availability or quality of third-party streams
• Endorse, verify or take responsibility for any third-party content provider

You are solely responsible for the legality and legitimacy of the content sources you connect. channl.tv does not control, monitor or moderate third-party content.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, logo and user interface, is owned by channl.tv and is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from the Service without our express written permission.

channl.tv does not claim ownership of any content you access through your own IPTV subscriptions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, channl.tv shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, use or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, all your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behaviour, or if required by law. In cases of termination for breach, no refund will be issued.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Service at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
