Copyright & Takedown Notices

Last updated: 22 June 2026

How channl.tv works

channl.tv is a Bring Your Own Subscription (BYOS) client application. We do not provide, host, distribute, license or operate any streaming content, IPTV servers or content delivery networks. Every stream you watch comes from a third-party source whose credentials you supply and are responsible for. See our Terms of Service (sections 2 and 8) for the full BYOS model.

Because we are a client and not a content host, the most effective takedown route for infringing content is almost always the third-party provider or its hosting/CDN operator. That said, we take copyright and abuse complaints seriously and will act on valid notices as described below.

Reporting copyright infringement

If you are a rights holder (or their authorised agent) and you believe content made accessible through channl.tv infringes your copyright, send a written notice to [email protected]. To help us act quickly, please include:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
  • Identification of the infringing material and enough detail for us to locate it — in particular the third-party source, portal or stream URL involved.
  • Your contact details (name, organisation, email, and address).
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury (or equivalent), that you are authorised to act on behalf of the rights holder.

What we can do

We cannot remove content from a third-party source we do not control. Where a complaint is valid and the source is one we can identify, we can disable that source server-side so it stops appearing in the relevant account and stops syncing across that user's devices, and we can suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly or flagrantly use the Service to infringe (see Terms, sections 7 and 11). We may also forward your notice to the third-party provider where appropriate.

We will acknowledge valid notices and respond without undue delay. We keep a record of notices and the action taken.

Counter-notice

If you believe a source connected to your account was disabled in error or misidentification, you may contest it by writing to [email protected] with your account email, the source in question, and an explanation of why you believe it does not infringe. Note that you remain solely responsible, under our Terms, for the legality of the sources you connect.

Other abuse and security reports

For abuse that is not a copyright matter — spam, fraud, harassment, or misuse of the Service — email [email protected].

For security vulnerabilities, please follow our published security policy and report to [email protected] rather than this channel.
